Due to the expansion of their new business team, a position for a Senior Broker within their Southend office has arisen.

Your new job

Your new job as a Senior Broker means you will be responsible for generating and writing new business from leads generated internally. You will be working closely with the renewal’s teams, managing a smooth placement process. You will have a monthly new business target to achieve, building close relationships with the Insurers and clients you work with. You will be speaking directly with the underwriters and insurers, negotiating the risks within the market. Other duties will include assisting staff members and directors when requested,

What you need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a New business Account Handler/Broker handling Construction or Commercial business, will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will ideally have at least 3 years experience working within the insurance market with excellent technical knowledge of Insurance including but not limited to Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks, Professional Indemnity and Motor Fleet. Ideally have experience using Acturis. You will also have fantastic telephone, written and negotiation skills, with a great understanding of handling clients directly. You will be driven and highly motivated with a desire to succeed. You will be assertive and able to negotiate and network at all levels.
