The role of the Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems will involve:
* Estimator position producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of aluminium glazing systems such as: curtain walling, windows, doors, rooflights, fire rated glazing & structural glazing
* Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
* Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
* Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
* Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
* Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
* Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
* Estimating for projects ranging in value from up to circa £8m
* Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems experience with:
* Must have estimating experience within the aluminium market sector
* Must have experience using LogiKal
* Strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing & structural glazing
* Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
* Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
