We're now looking for like-minded folks to join the crew. Tech at Jupiter : Jupiter is a Tech-first company with high ownership and extreme customer centricity. We build several products across multi-business lines such as banking, payments, investments and lending. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute cutting edge tech in developing several 0-1 and 1-100 products across the portfolio; moreover, you'll have a lot of ownership in doing so. Our team consists of Mobile, Platform, Data and ML Engineers, Data scientists, Data Analysts & Data annotators. We use machine learning, AI and behavioral science to build world-class banking experience for our customers. Roles and responsibilities : - Build, develop and provide hands-on leadership for top-notch engineers. - Create clear career paths for team members to help them grow with regular and deep mentoring, attract and retain top talent keeping long-term goals in mind. - Drive strategy and vision across teams in a rapidly evolving environment. - Work closely with diverse stakeholders across product, tech, and business teams; enable them by providing scalable and quality technology solutions. - Facilitate platform solutions that span beyond the team and across the ecosystem. - Own key engineering metrics within your area. - Drive agility in execution, and create a strong team culture of responsiveness through leading by example. - Own decision-making around prioritization for better predictability. What is needed for this role : - 8-12 years with at least the last 1-2 years in the role of Engineering Manager/Sr Engineering. - Deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available environment. - Advanced working experience in a public cloud such as AWS Kubernetes ecosystem, datastores such as Postgres/Redis/DynamoDB, and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka/SQS. - Entrepreneurial mentality, hunger, and passion to build quality products along with good engineering practices. - Excellent engineering leadership ability, including recruiting, inspiring, and retaining talent. - Very good written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated ability of judgment, cross-collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
