Data Engineer - SQL/ETL/Terraform

Job Profile : Data Engineer Location : WFO/WFH (Both Available) Specialization : IT/Cloud/Data Management Job Description : - Completed Bachelors degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible - 2 years of relevant engineering experience - Azure certification is preferred. - Experience in DevOps tools and automation - Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Key Vault and Storage Accounts. - Experience working with a Data Engineering team and understanding of Data Engineering practices. - Experience with DBT/DLT and working with Medallion Architecture is preferred - Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space - Experience with bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA, etc. - Experienced in managing outages, customer escalations, crisis management, and other similar circumstances. - Experience with CI/CD principles and best practices including Azure DevOps and Repos. - Experience with ARM Templates, Terraform. - Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure - Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers - Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes - Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results - Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats - Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes - Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended - Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions - Deploy updates and fixes - Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience - Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems (ref:hirist.tech)
