The Budd Group has an IMMEDIATE open for a Maintenance Tech - Electrician in beautiful Rome, GA:

Hourly Rate: Dependent on Experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday and on-call rotation.
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (1 hour lunch)

Location: Rome, GA

OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE

The job of Electrician is for the purpose/s of providing electrical services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading building electrical/lighting systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Conduct regular building tours, inspections, identifying needs and executing corrective action and/or coordinating with management and outside contractors.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Read blueprints or technical diagrams
  • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, breakers and lights.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Follow all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and use appropriate PPE
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to Maintenance Supervisor what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
  • Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
  • Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling, report any mechanical issues and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection forms
  • Workdays and schedules are generally routine, however are subject to change. Be prepared/available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
  • Overtime may be required without notice to complete work assigned - time off may be offered or required within the same pay period to meet budget demands
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Document all installed equipment: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary
  • Identify and report to Maintenance Supervisor potential opportunities for additional business (new system, service contracts, and additional services)
  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Facility Services Department
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Certificate degree or two-year degree of an electrician program from a trade school or community college preferred or completion of an electrician apprenticeship program desired.)
  • 1-3 Years Prior Experience
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals. Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
  • Valid Drivers License - Must have clean MVR
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
