Principle Engineer - Subsea System Integration

On behalf of our EPC client, Petroplan is seeking a Principle Engineer Of Subsea Systems to be responsible for global offshore deepwater projects. You will support activities related to subsea architecture development, interfaces definition and ensuring overall technical integrity, fluid deliverability and operability of the subsea systems.

This is a Permanent position, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Operating a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location, In blocks, if necessary.

Job Overview:

• Lead the optimization and development of subsea, deepwater, and ultra-deepwater projects.
• Oversee the design and integration of subsea systems at both system and component levels.
• Review and approve the design work performed by Third-Party Contractors, ensuring compliance with project goals.
• Coordinate the monitoring and performance evaluation of Third-Party Contractors.

Job Purpose:

• Ensuring that subsea systems meet technical, safety, and cost-effectiveness standards.
• Assisting in R&D initiatives to implement new subsea technologies like seabed processing.
• Managing interfaces between various subsea system work packages to ensure consistent quality.
• Leading subsea design reviews to optimize system performance, installability, and operability.

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in subsea system engineering across various phases (from concept to execution).
• Strong knowledge of subsea industry standards, topside interfaces, and flowline system design.
• Proficiency in reviewing subsea design documentation, including specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Familiarity with construction and installation processes, including FAT testing, integration testing, and offshore supervision.
