WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING : A little about you. We are looking for a skilled Web developer for one of our development teams. As a candidate you : - Have a solid foundation as a web developer with strong experience with HTML5, CSS and developing responsive web applications. - Strong experience working with React.js (additionally experience with Vue.js is a plus). - Have experience developing web based mobile applications (experience with React Native is a strong plus). - Strong experience with UI test automation (eg. Selenium or Cypress). - Have 5 years of experience as a developer in general. - Care about writing beautiful, well-structured, correct, and testable code. - Work well with others. - Have good communication skills, including a strong command of the English language. - Have knowledge in DevOps. - Enjoy taking time to sit down and solve hard problems. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and in a collaborative team environment. - Experience with Amazon Web Services and troubleshooting server-related issues in AWS environments. - Experience with Web-services and API's (SOAP/REST). - We get extra delighted if While not required, knowledge of user interface design (eg. using tools like Figma), building design systems for multiple UI applications, test-driven development/BDD, technical writing, product requirements, and/or operations is a clear benefit. - Don't worry if you don't know all that right now; you will have the opportunity to pick it up later. - A little about the technical landscape. - Our primary platform runs in the cloud on Amazon Web Services (hosted on Kubernetes clusters) and we release a new version every week (though technically we can release for every change we make). - Below you can read about the technologies we use. - Of course, a lot more is going on inside the engine room but this is some of the major highlights. Back-end tech : - Java EE (EJB3, JPA, JMS, etc.), JBoss/Wildfly, Apache gateway, Oracle/PostgreSQL, SOAP and REST APIs for integration and apps. Front-end : - Native Mobile Apps (Member and Staff app) written in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) that need to be migrated to a common web based (React) mobile application, Java client built with SWT, Web clients built in vue.js. - Continuous Integration : Jenkins pipeline build. - Deployment and hosting: Amazon Web Services / Kubernetes.
