Python Developer - Pandas/Numpy

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, modern web frameworks, and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable applications, optimizing performance, and contributing to the overall architecture of the project. Key Result Areas (KRAs) : 1. Code Quality & Performance : - Ensure that all developed code meets the organization's standards and performs optimally. - Achieve 90% code coverage in automated tests. 2. Timely Project Delivery : - Deliver all assigned modules within agreed-upon timelines. - Ensure at least 95% on-time delivery of features and bug fixes. 3. Cloud Infrastructure Management : - Ensure 99.9% uptime for applications deployed on cloud platforms. - Successfully scale the applications to handle a 30% increase in user traffic without degradation of performance. 4. Database Performance Optimization : - Maintain database query response time under 200ms for the majority of operations. - Reduce database incidents by 20% through optimization and best practices. 5. Collaboration & Leadership : - Effectively lead technical discussions and make decisions that benefit the overall project. - Contribute to team learning and development by conducting two knowledge-sharing sessions per quarter. 6. Problem Resolution : - Achieve 90% first-time resolution of production issues within the SLA. - Ensure root cause analysis is documented and preventive measures are implemented. Skills and Qualifications : - Strong experience in Python and related libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Celery). - Extensive experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask. - In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design and development. - Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or others. - Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with asynchronous programming and task queues (e.g., Celery, RabbitMQ). - Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture. - Ability to lead technical discussions and make architectural decisions. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
