About the Role

This role serves three key roles within the business globally: a business role, a technical role, and a supervisory role (line management and/or project management).


Responsibilities

  • Operate as an active member of the Veramed Operational Management Team
  • Supports the Veramed Executive Leadership Team for specific business unit(s) by: Developing data management budget(s) to deliver the strategy and monitoring spend, Determining resource needs and recruitment requirements, Helping to set the strategic direction and continual efficiencies through deployment of technology and identification of new opportunities for efficiencies/automation across the client portfolios
  • Identify the data management training needs
  • Business accountability for specific business unit(s):
  • Responsible and accountable for data management deliverables within the specific business unit(s)
  • Target minimum levels of profitability for projects through appropriate resourcing and application of efficient tools and processes whilst maintaining Veramed levels of quality and delivery, monthly P&L reporting
  • Business development (BD) for specific business unit(s):
  • Support marketing needs
  • Support BD activities to cover data management (such as leading technical sales meetings)
  • Input into budgets, proposals and bid defense meetings
  • Represent the company at Data Management Industry Conferences to network and identify new business opportunities.
  • Project-level input for specific business unit(s) as required: Document creation, Review or create specifications of listing reports. Review or create Case Report Forms and compare with protocol to ensure consistency.
  • Track queries and data cleaning activities to ensure ongoing review of data entered is completed and data is fit for analysis.
  • Lead SOP development and updates, where appropriate
  • Manage data management team members. Conduct regular meetings with direct reports, as well as annual performance reviews.
  • Project Management: Client and project oversight for specific business unit(s):


Qualifications

BSc, MSc, or PhD in scientific discipline (or relevant equivalent industry experience). At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.


Required Skills

  • Understanding of clinical drug development process, relevant disease areas, endpoints, and different study designs.
  • Awareness of industry and project standards & ICH guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Rave and/or Medrio
  • CDISC experience
  • Interpersonal/teamwork skills for effective interactions.
  • Self-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverables.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Global leadership experience managing teams and/or projects across the EU, US, and India, with a demonstrated ability to scale a team
  • "Proven track record of driving year-over-year growth in annual revenue through effective data management strategies. Ability to make informed and appropriate decisions.
