The Opportunity: Sales Support Executive

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cannock

Salary: £24,000 - £29,000

The Impact you will have:

  • To provide administrative support to the sales team, including sales managers and other stakeholders.
  • To maintain and update sales opportunities and documentation, communicating and work alongside colleagues across the organisation, as well as external customers or third-party suppliers.
  • Manage the department systems and reporting, being superuser for the 3 main sales systems, maintain spreadsheets and documents to ensure they are accurate, current, and easily accessible.
  • Attend relevant sales team meetings and comms cells as well as actively communicating with each salesperson regularly.
  • Escalate repeat and common issues the sales team are working with to the team to identify root cause and how to resolve.
  • Assist with the training of all new starters / refresher training on the 3 core systems.
  • Maintain an effective database of tender responses and FAQ's
  • Attend designated SHEQ meetings, take minutes and distribute accordingly.
  • Analyse BITA data and work with HYG to create meaningful reports for each Briggs sales territory to include total sales, sales by product type and Briggs market coverage.
  • Support the HOS and Sales Director with any strategic project work as and when required.
  • To support the HOS and RSM's in the preparation of papers for Deal Forum.
  • Attend sales meetings where required to present data and reports.
  • Identify cost savings, process improvements and value added supply.
  • Gather and submit relevant information / quotations from varied sources as required.

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Computer Literate to an advanced level in word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable experience working in an administrative function
  • Experience of generating KPI reports
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Positive, proactive mindset with an ability to approach and review matters from a balanced viewpoint
