Job Summary
As Snr Technician (machining) the role will be responsible for preparation and proving out of basic to complex programmes and operating of production runs within our Hi-Tech machine shop producing component parts for the Aircraft interiors business
Responsibilities
Preparing (setting) of a wide range of Fanuc controlled CNC milling and turning machinery
Basic creation or editing of CNC programs using G & M code instruction.
Operate machines to produce production runs of parts in accordance with a daily production plan.
Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery
Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead
Maintain quality standard through the understanding of the quality management system.Experience
5 years relevant experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment.
Strong background in the use of various CNC Milling and/or Turning machinery.
Good understanding of fanuc control systems
Extensive knowledge of machine tooling and inspection measuring equipment
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and data
Strong EH&S awareness in a manufacturing environment
Good metallurgy knowledge
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience of lean manufacturing techniquesPay: £58,400 per annum - £28.80per hour
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Working Hours:
Mon- Thurs 3pm to 12am
Friday 12pm to 5pm
39 hours per week
