Your New Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Performance and Assurance Manager to join our Senior Management Team in Staffordshire. This position will work closely with our client, Staffordshire County Council (SCC) across the Staffordshire network, based from our offices in Tipping Street (ST16 2DH)

The salary will be dependant on your experience.

Collaborating closely with our client Staffordshire County Council, Amey takes pride in delivering top-tier Maintenance and Construction services, catering to the extensive network across Staffordshire. The value of the contract is worth £70 million per annum.

As a Principal Performance and Assurance Manager, you will require strong leadership abilities to manage risks alongside a team of specialists. You will play an essential role in fostering positive client and stakeholder relationships while upholding the safety, quality, and reliability of our road networks.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday

You will be responsible for:

Lead a team to ensure compliance in H&S, Environmental, Quality, Transport, & Depots.
Identify and mitigate performance and compliance risks.
Develop key relationships with Staffordshire County Council and stakeholders.
Ensure strict adherence to contractual, industry, and regulatory standards.
Implement improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement and promote sustainable practices. We want to hear from you if you have:

Extensive senior leadership experience in highway maintenance or related fields
Strong knowledge of HSEQ compliance and industry best practices
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
