Job Description

Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence sector, is currently seeking a dedicated SHE Advisor to join their team in Govan. This contract role within the Maritime Naval Ships (MNS) division is integral to ensuring that Health and Safety standards are maintained and continually improved across site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing and managing Health and Safety policies and procedures
Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Providing guidance and advice on Health and Safety matters
Preparing and delivering safety training programmes for staff
Investigating incidents and accidents, and reporting findings to senior management
Collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of safety
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards
Ensuring full adherence to BPSS security level requirements

Job Requirements:

Experience in Health and Safety management
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and audits
Relevant QCF/NQF Level 3 or higher SHE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, NVQ, IEMA)
Currently working towards or willing to undertake QCF/NQF Level 5 or higher SHE qualifications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Contract Details:

24-month contract
Full-time, on-site role. Weekend shift pattern
Inside IR35
Non-engineering position
