Principal Software Engineer

Highly skilled in end-to-end software engineering and looking to work on global, multi-threaded, low latency systems? This Principal Software Engineer role is perfect for you.

The Job

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be tasked to lead the engineering within a senior-orientated team of a global trading platform handling and processing thousands of orders per day. Used by a multi-million customer base globally, the platform is a cloud-based solution on AWS where you will be working deeply across the architecture, backend development and deployment onto the cloud. There is a strong focus on multi-threaded, low-latency and security/compliance led engineering due to the platform.

About You

Holding over 15 years' of engineering experience, you will be expected to fully own and lead the engineering lifecycle with a strong understanding in Golang and Python. You will need to be able t understand and uplift legacy systems (C/Perl in this case) that can be re-engineered in Golang and Python whilst be able to actively participate in high-level technical architecture and technical roadmap decisions alongside the VP of Engineering and Engineering Directors.

Experience working on trading or high-transactional platforms is highly desired though not essential.

The Numbers
