Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description
My busy international clients are currently seeking a highly experienced and trained Supplier Quality Engineer for maternity cover at their large modern facility in Nottinghamshire.
Key Accountabilities:
* Ensure governance of all Supplier Quality-related activities in line with the quality management system
* Be recognised as a point of contact for Supplier quality issues in the business area
* Provide coaching and support to team members and functions while performing Quality Investigations
* Coordinate data reporting and sharing best practice across the business
* Work cross functionally with other departments to support the business on quality concerns and improvements.
* Control non-conformities and escalation of new issues as appropriate within the organisation
* Ensure compliance to regulatory and quality requirements within the business
Ideal candidates competencies:
* Is a focused, pro-active, dynamic individual, intent on achieving objectives with a key focus on attention to detail
* Has excellent people and communication skills with the ability to work with, influence and challenge appropriately all functions at multiple levels to gain trust and engagement
* Has experience in problem solving and the use of tools and techniques
* Has previous experience of working in a Quality or Engineering role
* Is able to lead cross-functional meetings
* Is able to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desirable knowledge:
* Familiarity of Aerospace Industry standards / requirements - AS9100/AS13100
* Knowledge of Rolls-Royce Supplier requirements – SABRe
* Previous Audit Experience
Hours of work:
* Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours, 08:00-16:12.
Contract – 9-month FTC (maternity cover)
Pay - £38,500 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
