Job Description

Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Materials Engineer for a full-time, contract role based in Fort McMurray, AB. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing equipment strategies for fixed equipment, evaluating damage mechanisms, and providing recommended mitigating actions. This position requires collaboration with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations, and process technical teams. Location: Fort McMurray, AB Job type: 9 months Contract with possibility of extension Working Hours: Mon- Fri, 8 hours a day Responsibilities: As a Project Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for: Developing equipment strategies for fixed equipment. Evaluating damage mechanisms based on process conditions and inspection history. Determining the probability of failure and recommending mitigating actions. Collaborating with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations, and process technical teams. Ensuring compliance with applicable Codes, Standards, and Regulatory requirements. Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation from APEGA is must for this role. Undergraduate degree in Engineering. Minimum 5-10 years of work experience as Materials/Corrosion, RBI (Risk Base Inspections), Asset Integrity, or QC engineer. Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in developing equipment strategies for Fixed equipment's. Local to Fort McMurray or willing to relocate. This is not camp based or FIFO role. Strong time management skills and ability to address numerous issues simultaneously. Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
