About You: The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of our Assistance contact center, providing leadership and decision-making to support flow goals and objectives. You will communicate with external clients and executive management, representing our company to prospective clients, providers, vendors, media, and other organizations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Thinking: Challenge the status quo and take educated risks to improve team results. Understand and communicate the higher business strategy. Make timely decisions that affect the team. Translate change initiatives into team-specific action plans. Utilize problem-solving skills and negotiate to resolve conflicts. Bring the Best Out of People: Guide employee growth through discussions and development plans. Delegate tasks and ensure employees have the necessary skills and resources. Identify potential issues and develop performance improvement plans. Establish and maintain professional relationships with direct reports. Organizational Ability: Assess bottlenecks and implement solutions for increased synergy. Clearly explain roles and responsibilities to the team. Establish and grow relationships across departments. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with organizational guidelines. Manage staffing, and scheduling, and ensure 24/7 quality service. Financial Efficiency: Use resources efficiently and reduce costs to drive team performance. Create measures to optimize team efficiency and quality. Develop methods to monitor and intervene in potential high-dollar cases. Ensure compliance with company standards. Other: Adhere to all policies and procedures. Perform work in compliance with PIPEDA and HIPAA. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant healthcare and/or insurance case management experience at a leadership level. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Excellent computer skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of plan language, benefits issues, and client policies. Ongoing education, certification, and self-development in case management and leadership. Fluency in French (written, reading, verbal). Additional Skills: Experience in the Medical Insurance and Travel or Major Medical industry. Knowledge of the US and non-North American medical systems. Previous case management experience. Medical terminology, clinical experience, or nursing education.
