Job Description

Adecco is currently recruiting a Process Engineering Consultant ( Work Measurement). This is 9- month with possibility of extension into 24 months contract with our government entity Client located in Ottawa, ON . The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for one. The Process Engineering Consultant will have the following responsibilities: Shall develop a time standard report which outlines the process and new time standards for delivery to panel receptacles. This process will require a rigorous and systematic approach, adhering to engineering principles and industry best practices. Entails an in-depth understanding of current industry best practices to ensure the standards developed are in line with the highest benchmarks. Shall be required to present the completed report leadership. The presentation shall include but not limited to the methodology, findings, resulting time standards and answering any technical questions relating to the report. Shall act as a Technical Expert Witness representing the organization. Will be required to present the new time standard report to the counsel and a technical arbitrator. Shall provide expert testimony based on a deep understanding of the methodology and resulting time standards. Shall defend the results against scrutiny legal counsel and expert witnesses such as but not limited to Engineers, Field Officers, etc. Acting as a Technical Expert Witness role is crucial in legal settings where the credibility and accuracy of technical standards and practices are questioned. It requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively in a legal context. The Process Engineering Consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements: Degree in Engineering. Post-graduate degree in Engineering, with a focus on work measurement is a prefer asset. 10 years of experience with a strong focus on developing and implementing work methods and standards, with proven expertise in the application of time and motion study techniques and process optimization. At least five (5) years of experience in a leadership role, managing and guiding engineering teams. Extensive experience in developing and revising engineering technical documents, with proficiency in conducting detailed engineering studies and analysis. Certified in Mini Most and Basic MOST predetermined systems. Proven track record of managing engineering projects from end to end, managing timelines, and resources effectively. Experience working in unionized settings, with a deep understanding of labor agreements and regulations. Background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on efficiency and productivity improvements. Experience in legal or arbitration proceedings where the outcome was defended under scrutiny. Experience in instructing and training others in PMTS methodologies, experience in delivering training programs, workshops. Any memberships or accreditations related to Engineering or Work Methods and Standards. Additional certifications related to Lean Six Sigma, Project Management (PMP), or other relevant areas.
