Overview the Materials Management Team:

The PESI Materials Management Team works quickly and efficiently to deliver educational books and products across the world. This close-knit team is responsible for all warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging, receiving and inventory. Additionally, our team provides strong customer service to vendors and customers by providing shipping quotes, meeting delivery deadlines, and resolving discrepancies when needed. PESI's Materials Management team also works with the business management and product teams to plan and operate successful virtual bookstores.

The Materials Management Team plays in an important role in fulfilling PESI's mission of connecting knowledge with need!

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)

  • Preparing shipments for postal or commercial conveyance via the most economical and efficient packaging/shipping methods
  • Receiving, verifying, and unloading incoming materials
  • Operate forklift, when necessary
  • General warehousing duties including order fulfillment, sorting, counting, labeling and shelving
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts, product set-up, and preparing seminar materials
  • Process and resolve relevant receiving and invoice inquiries
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)

  • Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience in shipping/receiving
  • 2+ years' experience in shipping and receiving, and knowledge of the shipping process is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capable of physical work that includes standing for extended periods of time and lifting packages weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Reader.
