Senior Quantity Surveyor - Multi Disciplined

A leading main contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cambridge / North London.
The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements of a portfolio of projects for a specialist business unit.
Key duties will include:

• Developing and implementing commercial strategies for projects.
• Drafting and inputing on contract and subcontract negotiations, subcontract management, and agreement of final accounts.
• Preparing and presenting monthly project CVRs, ensuring awareness of and compliance with revenue recognition rules.
• Building, managing, and maintaining client, supplier, and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Inputing into growing a high performing team, including mentoring and overseeing the progression of junior team members.
• Preparing applications for payments to maintain cash position, including cash flow production and improvement plans.

Further Details

• Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of different types of projects across the wider business.
• Projects ranging in value up to c.£10m, with a focus on delivering one project and then moving onto the next.
• Projects can cover a variety of sectors including electrical, new utilities infrastructure, and infrastructure decommissioning.
• You will mentor junior commercial staff on projects, delivering training where needed and generally overseeing progression and development activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Our client is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.
• Minimum of 5+ years' commercial experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure or general civil engineering projects.
• Must have NEC contract experience, and be comfortable managing projects end-to-end.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors and clients.
• Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree.
