What you’ll be doing

Focussing on Air Freight, you’ll identify new air freight business opportunities across the South of the UK. Managing your schedule, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home, at our Hayes branch at Heathrow Airport and customers’ offices.

Activity includes:

• Identifying and acting on new business opportunities
• Creating and presenting bespoke solutions to potential customers
• Contract negotiations and closing new deals
• Participating in the implementation phase and ensuring a smooth handover to branch teams
• Establishing collaborative inter-departmental relationships
• Maintaining relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
• Updating pipelines of opportunities generated from leads

Skills/knowledge requirements

• Business development/sales within a freight forwarding environment is essential
• Multimodal freight services knowledge must include air freight
• Knowledge of local markets and industries and contacts within the freight/logistics sector
• A full UK driver’s licence is required as this role involves travel
