Job Title: PipefitterLocation: Govan & Scotstoun - GlasgowSalary: £37,318 (Shift allowance of 33% (£49,632) for Back, Night & Weekend shifts)
Overtime Rates:Mon – Thurs: Time and a thirdFriday: Time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time from then onSaturday: Time and a halfSunday: Double time
Shift Patterns:Mon – ThursDay Shift: 07:00 – 16:30Back Shift: 14:00 – 23:30Night Shift 20:30 – 06:00Fri – SunWeekend: 07:00 – 19:30

Your main responsibilities as a Pipefitter will involve:Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipesInstalling utilities aboard ship i.e., sinks, showers, and toilets.Your skills and qualifications:Essential:Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipmentClear understanding of SHE risks awarenessUnderstanding of manufacturing processesMust be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at heightDesirable:Safety certification i.e., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etcBackground in a major construction / manufacturing environment.Pipefitter Team: This is an exciting time to join a business that is expanding and transforming, to operate in a new, innovative, and competitive environment.
