Architectural Designer

Hays has partnered with an integrated local firm registered in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan who are actively looking for an Architectural Designer to join their growing team. This firm has considerable experience on a wide variety of building types of varying scale and complexity, with a commitment to high quality innovative design. As the Designer you will be working closely with the team to assist in the design, development, and construction of various projects including commercial, institutional, industrial, hospitality and residential. Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of projects Create 3D models and prepare drawings and plans Conduct research on materials, building codes, and regulations Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders Assist in the preparation of presentations and proposals Contribute to the development of project schedules and budgets Assist in the coordination of construction documents and specifications Qualifications: 3 years of prior experience, local experience in similar project typology to the firm strongly preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture AAA registration is a strong asset, but not required Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Twinmotion, Enscape and Lumion Knowledge of local building codes, bylaws, and construction methods Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects simultaneously High level of creativity, innovative thinking and problem solving skills The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package of $60,000 - $75,000 bonus (based on performance) extended benefits, paid parking and flexible work hours
