Senior Accountant

Our Client, a leading construction manufacturing organization in Canada, is dedicated to delivering top-quality products and services to their clients. They seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a strong background in accounting within the construction manufacturing industry, we want to hear from you THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION 5-DAYS A WEEK Key Responsibilities: · Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. · Perform budget forecasting and variance analysis. · Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process. · Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. · Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. · Conduct cost analysis and support financial decision-making for projects. · Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. · Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate project costing and financial management. · Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · The pursuit of CPA designation is an asset. · Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction or manufacturing industry. · Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. · Proficient in accounting software (e.g.,Sage 300, Jonas, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
