Settlement Analyst

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Financial Services industry for a Settlement Analyst based in Markham, Ontario, Canada. As a Settlement Analyst, you will be executing various duties such as account reconciliation, data entry, and invoice processing. You will also be expected to showcase your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and settlements.Responsibilities:- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accounts and transactions.- Follow up with clients to rectify any discrepancies identified.- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data effectively.- Perform tasks associated with settlements, including reconciliation and electronic transfer of funds.- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong understanding of settlements and reconciliation.- Display strong attention to detail in all tasks.- Carry out background checks as needed.- Be flexible to work overtime when required.- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry- Proficient in Account Reconciliation- Demonstrable experience in Data Entry- Proven track record of efficient Invoice Processing- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas- Understanding of Settlement procedures in financial transactions- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
