Desktop Support Specialist

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an IT Support - Tier 2 role based in Toronto, Ontario. This role is ideal for individuals with a knack for hardware configuration and troubleshooting, as well as device imaging. The selected individual will be expected to provide strong hardware and break fix issue, handle device management using Intune, provide strong Office 365 support, and provide IT Tier 2 support for both onsite and remote users. Responsibilities: • Manage and deploy a fleet of new laptops, ensuring accurate hardware configuration and imaging. • Efficiently utilize Intune for the management of phones, including device wiping and preparation for donation. • Conduct the secure erasure of old laptops, preparing them for donation. • Perform light Wi-Fi network configuration tasks as needed. • Provide Tier 2 IT support to onsite and remote users, handling basic troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively. • Monitor user accounts and take appropriate action as necessary. • Office 365 support experience • Experience working with Intune and supporting iPhones • Strong hardware support experience for Laptops and iPhones Requirements: • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or similar roles. • Demonstrated proficiency in hardware configuration. • Experience with imaging devices is essential. • Have a strong understanding of Intune and Windows Intune. • Strong Office 365 support experience • Experience working with Windows 10/11 devices • Experience working with Intune and supporting iPhones • Strong hardware support experience for Laptops and iPhones • Ability to perform hardware troubleshooting is required. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team setting. • Possess a customer-oriented mindset and be able to provide high-quality support. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. • Relevant certifications in IT support will be considered an asset.
