Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Manager Financial Planning & Analysis in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The role is primarily concerned with providing financial analysis and budgeting support within our business group. As the Business Unit Finance Manager, you will interface with non-finance individuals, providing actual to budget spending analysis and working on forward-looking forecasts.Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.- Conduct detailed and complex analysis and research of financial information and other non-financial data to support department activities.- Develop and maintain monthly financial/management reports and variance analysis for programming inventory and program rights expense.- Prepare and analyze the Programming Departmental and telecast budgets and forecasts.- Oversee the reconciliation of programming inventory between financial and scheduling systems.- Assist with reviews and analysis for regulatory reporting.- Interpret and enforce policies, standards, methods, and recognized accounting practices.- Build new reports and develop processes on an ad-hoc basis, identifying opportunities to improve existing reporting.- Supervise one staff member, providing guidance and support as necessary. - Carry out all other tasks, assignments, duties or projects as required by the immediate supervisor.- Applicant must possess strong skills in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting- Proven experience in a Managerial role within Financial Planning & Analysis- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills- Proficiency in financial software and databases- Strong leadership and team management abilities- Exceptional communication and presentation skills- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred- Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.We thank all applicants however only those selected will be contacted.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
