Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency. Analyze market trends and assess supplier performance to inform procurement decisions. Collaborate with senior management to align procurement strategies with organizational goals. Vendor Management Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed. Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms for the organization. Draft, review, and manage contracts and purchase agreements. Ensure compliance with contract terms and resolve any contract-related issues. Procurement Operations: Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, purchasing, and receipt of goods and services. Ensure timely delivery of products and services to meet organizational needs. Manage inventory levels and optimize stock to balance supply and demand. Budget Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets and forecasts to ensure adequate supply of Prime materials based on plant requirement Monitor and control procurement spending to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and transactions. Team Management: Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Conduct performance evaluations and manage professional development for team members. Foster a collaborative and effective work environment. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance, and savings. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis. Desired Experience & Qualification Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Minimum 8 to 10 years of supply chain management related experience within an FMCG environment. Minimum of 3 years at a senior management level with responsibility for direct reports. Must have a strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques. Experience in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
