Weekly Pay Range - $2406 To $2673
**Job Title:** MRI Technologist Traveler
**Job Specialty:** Radiology / Cardiology - MRI Tech
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum pediatric experience required
**License:** Radiologic License preferred
**Certifications:**
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography required
- ARRT registry in Magnetic Resonance required
- CPR required
**Must-Have:**
- At least one recent reference from a supervisor in the relevant specialty
- Compliance with flu vaccine requirement, with medical exemptions only
- Background checks are subject to review by the facility
**Job Description:**
- Produce quality diagnostic MRI scans on patients of all ages using MRI scanner and associated equipment.
- Perform tasks with minimal supervision, adhering to quality parameters set by the department.
- Independently perform or assist in radiographic procedures under a licensed independent practitioner’s guidance.
- Prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications per state and federal regulations or institutional policy.
- Educate patients and their guardians on procedures and safety within the MRI department.
- Partially responsible for the performance of the organization's systems and processes, while recognizing individual staff competence.
- Maintain CPR certification and ARRT registration, and participate in mandatory hospital-wide education.
- Advocate for patients' rights to make decisions regarding their medical care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth continuum of care.
- Participate in on-call rotation and work with student technologists to provide a positive learning experience.
- Required to wear grape/purple scrubs, with black pants acceptable when paired with a purple top.
- Work schedule includes rotating weekdays, covering every fourth weekend, including call on weekend nights and one night of call during the week.
