Job Description
**Job Title:** Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
**Job Specialty:** Nuclear Medicine Technologist
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Day - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in General Nuclear Medicine. PET/CT Imaging experience required. Oncology PET experience highly desirable. Epic experience preferred.
**License:** NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT(N) Registration
**Certifications:** DOT Certification and CPR (AHA)
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with GE gamma camera and Siemens PET/CT scanner equipment
- Graduation from an AMA approved program in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Technology
**Job Description:**
- Perform technical exams accurately and promptly for outpatients, inpatients, and emergent patients of varying acuity levels.
- Conduct and document quality control on all equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and operational standards.
- Prepare, administer, dispose of, and document radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, oral contrast, and IV contrast under physician direction and departmental protocols.
- Maintain records of shipping, receiving, use, storage, and disposal of radioisotopes per NRC and DEQ policies.
- Conduct room surveys, wipe tests, bioassays, and assist in quality attainment programs.
- Schedule exams, verify physician orders, and manage documentation for medical records.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of rooms and equipment; stock supplies and linen as needed.
- Demonstrate required skills in time management, multitasking, organization, and prioritization.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Sensitive position requirements under state regulations pertaining to safety-sensitive jobs.
