Job Description
**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist

**Shift:** Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Weekend required, 2 major and 2 minor holidays)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist required
**License:** Radiologic Technologist
**Certifications:** ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS)
**Must-Have:** Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize, detail-oriented, and strong customer service skills
**Job Description:**
- Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.
- Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing diagnostic exams according to department procedures.
- Independently perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
- Set up imaging equipment and position patients for procedures.
- Act as a clinical coordinator and instructor for imaging students.
- Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions before exams.
- Administer contrast medias safely and ensure proper patient ID during studies.
- Review radiographic images for acceptable results and manage patient care accordingly.
- Respond to emergency situations and ensure the maintenance of life support equipment.
- Provide constructive feedback to imaging students and fill out evaluations.
- Demonstrate competence in sterile techniques, venipuncture (where applicable), and age-specific patient care.
- Adjust equipment and technique to minimize radiation exposure to patients.
- Participate in the orientation and training of departmental employees.
- Consistently produce high-quality images and ensure all studies are sent to PACS.
- Restock linens and supplies, maintain cleanliness of imaging services, and manage patient transportation.
- Maintain individual productivity and comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Perform clerical and support duties as required to ensure service continuity.
