Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8-hour days, 0800-1630

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: 3-5 years of experience specific to Radiation Oncology; 5 years is most preferred

License: ARRT Licensure (SD State Licensure is not required)

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have:
- Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) experience
- Accuray Tomotherapy experience required; experience with RADIXACT is preferred
- Proficiency in CT Simulation

Job Description:
- Provide treatment for both inpatient and outpatient radiation oncology patients
- Work within an Outpatient Cancer Care facility closely connected to an acute care hospital
- Treat various types of cancers including but not limited to lung, breast, brain, head/neck, GYN, metastatic disease, and lymphomas
- Patient ratios include 2:1 for treatment machines and 1:1 for CT simulation
- Required equipment experience includes Accuray Tomotherapy HI.ART and Elekta Infinity; preferred experience with Siemens CT Simulator GO.PRO scanner
- Willingness to float within the department as needed, never working alone but always paired with another therapist
- Utilization of Epic and Mosaiq charting systems
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday shifts required
- Up to 7 days off without manager approval, must extend to fulfill the contract duration
- Attend two days of online orientation followed by an in-department orientation
