Job Title: Certified Operating Room Technician (CST)
Job Specialty: General Operating Room Surgical Technician with Neuro Experience
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (08:30 - 21:00)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3x12's, 40 hours for 8/10's
Experience: 18 months required; 2 years preferred
License: Must hold applicable certifications
Certifications: NBSTSA/NCCT preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Must-Have: Nicotine-free, Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start
Job Description:
- Participate in general operating room surgical procedures with a focus on neurological surgeries.
- Complete time-sensitive modules as priority upon confirmation of the assignment.
- Engage in orientation for 16 hours (non-billable).
- Be open to floating within the scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities.
- Be flexible with shift options, including on-call and weekend requirements as discussed during interviews.
- Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements, with only medical or religious exemptions considered.
- Pass both EKG and Pharm tests during orientation with a maximum of two attempts — study materials will be provided.
- Travelers should be nicotine-free owing to the smoke-free facility policy, with no exceptions.
Note: Ensure all requested days off are included upon submission as additional requests will not likely be approved.
