Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Job Specialty: Surgical Services - Sterile Processing
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:45 - 23:15, Monday-Friday)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum two years required; large L1/L2 and prior travel experience required
License: Active license required
Certifications: CRCST certification from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management
Must-Have: COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only); all requested time off must be submitted upfront
Job Description:
- Perform sterile processing tasks in a large Level 1/Level 2 facility
- Ensure all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and organized
- Follow strict sterilization protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with surgical staff to support surgical procedures
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program that covers necessary modules
- Commit to working at least one holiday per season, including two winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the sterile processing environment
Please note that candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position. Previous employees must have been gone for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler.
