Job Description
Job Title: Operating Room Technician
Job Specialty: OR Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts (day/afternoon 6:45 am-3:15 pm & 2:45 pm-11:15 pm)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in relevant specialty
License: Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and state-specific license required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have:
- Competency in General, Robotic, Vascular, and Neuro Surgery
- Submission packets must include proof of temporary license applications if applicable
- All requests for time off must be included in the submission packet
- Approved declinations for Covid/Flu vaccinations accepted
Job Description:
- Perform technical duties in the operating room under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile environments
- Assist with surgical procedures by passing instruments and other tasks as directed
- Participate in patient care by setting up and handling medical equipment
- Maintain safe and sterile conditions during surgeries
- Participate in orientation sessions scheduled every other week on Mondays
- Be prepared for potential hours reduction up to 36 hours per assignment based on patient census
