Job Description
Weekly Pay Range - $2725 To $3027
**Job Title:** Technologist - Nuclear Medicine
**Job Specialty:** Imaging
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** AM - 8 hr: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, No major holidays, no weekends, no on-call
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40
**Experience:** Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging Preferred (SPECT/CT/PET/MR/Optical Fusion Imaging)
**License:** Current Radiologic Technologist License
**Certifications:**
- Current registration in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT (NM))
- At least one of the following advanced certifications and current registries: NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), ARRT(MR)
- NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR
**Must-Have:**
- Requires a Bachelor's of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited academic program or an Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited academic program plus 2 years of experience by date of hire.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Utilize your analytical skills to effectively apply knowledge towards imaging processes, techniques, and procedures.
- Plan and accomplish goals using experience, judgment, and time management skills.
- Uphold safety standards set forth by regulatory agencies.
- Interact effectively with patients, addressing any apprehensions, instructing students, and collaborating with other staff technologists.
- Monitor patients for changes such as skin discoloration or nausea, consulting physicians as needed.
- Ensure the safety and functionality of equipment by inspecting safety interlocks according to procedures.
- Perform clerical and technical duties including maintaining records, scheduling appointments, and attending patient care conferences.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and fellow employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of all designated hospital information.
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
