Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of plumbing tasks including repairs, new pipefitting, and installation. Maintains a proper inventory of spare parts as needed. May be required to float throughout LMHS and perform other duties as requested.
Responsibilities:
* Be proactive in patient safety issues by informing your immediate supervisor or the Process Improvement Center of any potential or actual patient safety issues.
* Ensure patient safety at all times and prevent any occurrences of patient safety risks.
* Adhere to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and report violations or non-compliance.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
* Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED.
* Requires extensive knowledge and experience in plumbing.
* Minimum of two years plumbing experience.
* Work requires the ability to read, write and follow oral and/or written instructions.
* Work requires dexterity to use standard hand and power tools.
* Requires use of independent judgment in determining equipment problems and method of repair.
* Work requires responsibility for materials and equipment.
* May be required to lift, push, pull or carry an average of one hundred (100) pounds consistently throughout a workday. May involve walking, standing, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, or sitting for extended periods. Employees may be exposed to various environmental conditions including but not limited to, bodily fluids, extreme temperatures, and potentially hazardous agents. May require working outside of normal shift hours at times.
