Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Perform roofing repairs and replacements on all Cornett product lines, including slate, copper, tile, rubber, stamped metal, standing seam, and more.
• Ensure material lists are accurate based on job site measurements taken and prepared prior to commencing work.
• Provide updated progress reports on job milestones to the Production Manager.
• Deliver first-class customer service to clients to ensure a smooth installation or repair experience.
• Interface with inspectors to ensure the scope of work is completed to Cornett's standard.
• Conduct metal fabrication and soldering of 24-gauge steel and 16-ounce copper as required for contracts sold.
• Roofing tile installation, including clay tile on steep pitches (2-3 stories high), terra cotta, and concrete tile.
• Demo, tear-off, wood replacement, flashing, underlayment's, shingle installation, and water sealing.
• Harness and fall protection safety at all times.
• Lift experience, and forklift experience is a plus.
• Scaffolding and pump jack setup and teardown experience is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

• Proven experience as a Roofing Technician with expertise in slate, copper soldering, tile, rubber, stamped metal, standing seam, and more-not just asphalt or commercial flat roofing.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• High level of detail-oriented and quality-focused thinking.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Harness, fall protection, scaffolding, pump jack setup, ladder, and teardown experience.
• Lift experience, and forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on a military base, requiring passing a background check.
• Ability to pass a driving background check for and screening to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specific knowledge and experience working with slate, copper, tile, and metal roofing systems.
• Comfortable working on Steep Slopes
• Roofing Tile experience is preferred but not needed
• Safety and harness experience a plus
• Roofing experience

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday to Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime Potential

Work Location:

• In Person
• Dayton, OH: Relocate before starting work (Required)
• Project scheduled to be two years of steady work re-roofing military housing on the base.
