Job Description
Position Overview:
Quality Welding Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Plant Maintenance Worker. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of plant maintenance experience.
Job Functions and Qualifications:
* Perform equipment maintenance on various types of mechanical equipment, including belt conveyors, bucket elevators, drag chains, grain cleaners, screw conveyors, etc.
* Show familiarity with different types of bearings and setting tolerances and taper locks
* Perform rigging and hoisting to properly move materials via the use of cranes and/or hand signaling to an operator
* Perform and demonstrate the ability to complete work using safe work practices
* OSHA 10-hour or equivalent training
* Capable of performing welding (SMAW) work and using a torch
* Ability to fabricate misc. steel brackets
* Plant and preventive maintenance experience
* Industrial construction experience
* Ability to perform belt splicing and maintenance for conveyors and bucket elevators
Essential Functions:
* Must be able to work in shop environment (inside and outside), able to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, walk, and use fingers to feel objects, tools, and controls.
* Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
* Hours for position are dictated by workload and may require more than a typical 40-hour week.
