Job Description
**Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technician
**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services - Sterile Processing
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers not accepted
**License:** Valid license required if submitting to allied job
**Certifications:** CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA
**Must-Have:** Must be able to float to like units within scope as needed
**Job Description:**
- Perform sterilization and decontamination processes for surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, packaged, and sterilized for surgical procedures.
- Follow strict infection control and sterilization standards and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams to support operating room turnover and instrument availability.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory management.
- Support facility needs by floating to like units within scope, provided a brief orientation.
- Adherence to facility safety requirements, including vaccinations, as needed and verified upon offer.
