Job Description
Are you an experienced Practice Nurse looking for flexibility and a rewarding role in a dynamic healthcare setting? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Practice Nurse to join our team for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential for a longer-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality nursing care, including wound management, immunisations, chronic disease management, and health screenings
* Support GP-led clinics, including management of long-term conditions (e.g.,predominantly diabetes, asthma, hypertension)
* Administer vaccinations and injections
* Deliver health promotion and education to patients
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse (NMC Pin essential)
* Prior experience working as a Practice Nurse in a primary care or GP setting
* Diploma in diabetes
* Skills in chronic disease management, immunisations, and wound care
* Cervical cytology and vaccination certification
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
