Head of Finance

We are looking for someone to lead the high-performing Finance team, bringing your commercial and strategic expertise to work closely with the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a hands-on leader to the Management Accountants and wider team, supporting their career development and inspiring high performance.
• Carry out twice annual performance appraisals for your direct reports.
• Prepare company budget meetings - being ready to release annual budgets to key stakeholders in January.
• Lead the product and customer profitability analysis - feeding back to directors and key stakeholders using tools such as BI.
• Drive automation efforts with a multi-disciplinary team - streamline efficiencies to become fully paperless.
• Oversee the Management Accountant to ensure that all monthly reports are delivered accurately and on time.
• Support the three-year forecast model - using the new system to provide regular updates and ensuring the data input is correct.
• Support non-finance managers by delivering a thorough but clear analysis of cost vs budget.

To Be Successful:

• A genuine people leader who can nurture a team and deliver great results.
• Commercial finance background.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Team focussed.
• Highly organised and detail oriented.
• Ability to prioritise to the demands of the business and meet deadlines.
• 5+ years experience, construction industry experience highly desirable.
• Experience using BI & and Oracle based reporting systems.
