Accountant

Position: Accountant IILocation: Markham, Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)Salary: $48.50 per hourJob Type: 1-year contract with the possibility of extensionOur client, a top-tier pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Accountant II to join their team and support their rapid growth. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting of the company.Key Functions and Responsibilities:- Compile and analyze the affiliate information in order to monitor transactions performed by the company, and make the appropriate comparison between amounts recorded and support included for such recording by checking amounts, reviewing details, and reconciling figures.- Identify any inconsistency and analyze data so that it can be accurately documented.- Ensure all monitoring procedures and activities are carried out and documented in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies as defined by the company.- Perform monthly data entry of all reportable transactions into the Expense Manager tool (EM) from the various sources: A/P system, reports, and other transactions if any.- Secure financial information by keeping information confidential.Qualifications:- University Degree or College Diploma in an accounting-related field- 3 years of related experience- Analytical mindset with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word- Experience in reconciliation of customer accounts & collections experience- Familiarity of accounting software and GAAP- SAP Experience is considered an asset- Certificate of Credit Institute of Canada (CCP) is considered an assetPlease send your resume in Word format to Katharine Yau at katharine.yauquantum.ca.REFER AND EARN A $50 GIFT CARD For more details, click here.OUR VIRTUAL DOORS ARE OPEN We're also bringing the interviews to you by various web applications, virtually Contact us today for your next opportunity.
