Senior Golang Developer

Job Title: Senior Golang Developer Location : North York, ON (Hybrid - 3 days in office) About the Company : Our client, a dynamic startup making a positive impact, is looking for a Senior Golang Developer to join their growing team. You’ll work closely with the CTO and have the chance to make a real difference by developing innovative solutions that support a great cause. Key Responsibilities : Lead end-to-end backend development, building products from the ground up Develop and maintain APIs, ensuring scalability and performance Monitor and measure system performance, analyze metrics, and logs Collaborate with the team on data models, technical architecture, data flows, schemas, and API contracts Work with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes (K8), CI/CD pipelines, and GIT for seamless development and deployment Ensure robust security practices by writing vulnerability and regression tests Understand front-end interactions and how to integrate effectively with front-end systems Work with Python when needed and have a willingness to learn and adapt to different technologies Requirements : Minimum 2 years of Golang development experience Strong understanding of cloud engineering and DevOps practices Experience with backend development, scripting, and creating scalable systems Proficiency with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GIT Experience developing and integrating APIs Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Background in Computer Science or Engineering (Bachelor’s degree required) Experience working in a startup environment is a plus Bonus Skills : Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and experience writing security tests Willingness to work with Python when necessary If you're excited about working in a startup environment, building products from scratch, and contributing to a great cause, we want to hear from you
