Job ID: 14441901 Job Title: CP Advisor Duration: ASAP to Oct. 10/25 Hours: Mon- Fri, 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $96.00/hour Locations: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week - Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 4A3 Description/Comment: Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Sound oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage high workload involving multiple priorities, customers and vendors. Assertive in seeking information from various sources and in obtaining the best value for the business. Solid PC skills and SAP R/3 skills required. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Has a service-oriented mindset towards stakeholders The CP Advisor will develop and execute sourcing strategies and tactics supporting Scotford Energy and Chemical Park’s Turn Around and Brownfield Projects portfolio based on a deep understanding of the business requirements, site strategy and drivers, and local/regional/global supplier market. The CP Advisor enables stakeholders to understand the intent of contracts, optimize the use of contracts, manage Contracts/Contractors to optimize performance and remove waste. Accountabilities: Responsible for the end-to-end management of the business supply chain category/contracts assigned. This includes assessing the demand/supply, developing and executing the approved strategy, sourcing and awarding the optimal supplier(s), implementing and executing the selected contract(s), and post award contract management. Determine the right remuneration model (e.g. output-based contract) to encourage the right behaviours and expectations from suppliers to optimize alignment of supply chain and asset delivery. Obtaining strategy and award approvals at the necessary supply chain councils. Strong business partnering across the assigned business and contract(s)/category to understand the changes in the business, business drivers, and external environment and drive any adjustment of supply chain to meet these changing needs. Ensure integrated ways of working with business and suppliers. Supporting and monitoring procurement activities related to Turn Around and Brownfield Projects, Building and maintaining strong network in the market being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities emerging in the market. Manage relationships across the end-to-end supply chain for the assigned contract(s)/category and ensure stakeholders understand the intent of the contract and work together to achieve the desired business outcomes. Drive total cost reductions and value beyond the traditional supply chain commercial focus. Identify opportunities in the contract portfolio to create more value and/or to eliminate waste. Drive continuous improvement by replicating improvements and recommended practices. Facilitate discussions on process performance and inefficiencies. Key Experiences and Qualifications: Supply Chain experience with Turn Arounds and Brownfield Projects. Experience in end to end contract sourcing, negotiations, market bids/tenders/RFPs evaluations for Turn Around and Brownfield Projects. Attention to detail Able to adjust global strategies to the current situation of the local business and market conditions Able to influence stakeholders (Business, Supply Chain, Suppliers) to work together in an integrated way Able to perform contract management ? Able to manage supplier relationships Able to manage multiple workstreams at the same time. Highly driven, can do, inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner Able to translate strategy to tangible and valuable outcomes for the local business Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance Strong understanding of the business, the end-to-end process in the Supply Chain, and is able to communicate in business language Continuous improvement and simplification mindset Able to look ahead, think strategically while focusing on day to day delivery.
