Job Description

OVERVIEW The Digital Infrastructure Team Lead/IT Manager plays a pivotal role in managing, designing, and evolving the organization’s IT and digital infrastructure to support core business functions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic planning to ensure that IT systems and infrastructure are not only stable and secure but also flexible enough to adapt to the evolving needs of the business. The successful candidate will lead a team of IT professionals while closely collaborating with other departments to ensure a robust infrastructure that aligns with the business’s long-term goals. This role involves overseeing a range of technology systems, including cloud platforms, on-premise hardware, networking components, and cybersecurity frameworks. RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor IT teams, overseeing daily operations and staff performance. Foster a collaborative, solution-driven environment. Infrastructure Planning Develop and implement infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals. Review and optimize systems architecture for scalability and performance. Systems & Network Management Oversee cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring availability and performance. Troubleshoot network issues and enforce IT best practices. Cybersecurity Lead security initiatives, managing risks and compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct audits and implement proactive security measures. Disaster Recovery Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity. Coordinate responses during outages or security incidents. Project Management Lead infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and integration. Manage vendor relations and ensure service-level compliance. Financial Management Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resources and costs. Negotiate contracts for technology services and solutions. Collaboration Liaise with departments to align infrastructure with business needs. Communicate project updates and collaborate on digital initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, network administration, and systems engineering. At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing technical teams and complex infrastructure projects. Proven track record managing hypid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and designing scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions. Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform). Technical Skills: Cloud Technologies : Advanced experience managing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Networking : Expertise in configuring and managing complex network environments, including VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Operating Systems : Proficiency in managing both Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Strong understanding of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent. Virtualization & Containers : Expertise with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Security : Familiarity with advanced security frameworks, encryption standards, identity management, and multi-factor authentication systems. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively. Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical information into clear, understandable language for stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive problem solver, able to anticipate issues and take decisive action. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail. Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent ITIL Foundation certification for IT Service Management Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
