Software Engineer – DynamoDB Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm and our Staffing practice is looking for an Angular Developer to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced and high performing team. Client: Big Five Bank Estimated Start Date : Mid-September 2024 Length of Contract: 6 months contract with potential extensions Possibility of Extension : Yes Working Location: 1 Day Hybrid/Week in Office, Downtown Toronto Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Amazon DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, and Node.js to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance applications that support our clients banking operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Node.js. Implement and manage NoSQL databases using Amazon DynamoDB. Optimize DynamoDB performance, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization. Develop and maintain data models and schemas for DynamoDB to support application requirements. Implement data migration and replication strategies for DynamoDB. Monitor and troubleshoot DynamoDB performance issues and ensure high availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3 yeas experience with AWS, Lambda, and Node.js. Expertise with Amazon DynamoDB Experience with RESTful APIs and web services. Proficiency in JavaScript and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other AWS services like SNS, SQS, and Kinesis. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Interview Process: 1 round virtual with client.
