Job Description

Your role:


No two days are the same in this job. You’ll be the go-to for Army vehicles in times of need, using winches, towing equipment and cranes. Whether a vehicle is bogged, broken down, damaged or disabled, you’ll be there.


With on-the-job training, you can learn to drive and handle a range of powerful machinery: from heavy specialist trucks, to Armoured Recovery Vehicles and all-terrain forklifts.

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.


On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn a package worth at least $210/day tax-free.


Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.


Entry Requirements


For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics. You must also be an Australian citizen and able to successfully obtain a security clearance.
