Civil Engineer

OVERVIEW The fulltime supervision and management (from plant to pit) for the preparation, installation, and construction of: In-pit deposits (Tailings Storage Facility) All related civil earthworks e.g. excavations, dozing Slurry / re-mine pipelines Concrete works. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Site Supervision Site Quality Control Management Programme/Project Management Technical advice Inspections Progress reports Ensure compliance to all Safety, Health and Environmental rules of the site. Consult, interact with clients to optimize operating specifications Adhere to company / client policies and procedures which may be amended from time to time. To assume other duties as may be assigned by the Client / Managing Director. TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES Excellent written and verbal communications skills. A valid Code 14 drivers license Computer literate (MS Office; Autocad/Prokon; Projects) Ability to maintain sound interpersonal relations with Client, Company Problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to plan, lead, execute and organize tasks. Management, supervisory, communication skills. REQUIREMENTS BSc/B Eng/BTech in Civil Engineering ECSA registered Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the mining environment Clean record with valid COF or the ability to obtain a certificate of fitness Able to commence duties on short notice. Salary: R45-50,000.00 based on experience
