Job Description

As the Civil Engineer (PrEng) or similar qualification, you will be responsible for the environmental and other regulatory requirements and their influence on designs, construction, scheduling and planning, writing technical reports. Duties & Responsibilities: Analyse survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects. Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis. Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use. Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. Consider environmental impact statements. Preparation of QAQC documentation. Manage the repair, maintenance, and replacement of infrastructure. Experience & Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineer, BEng, BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering. Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA. Experience in designing Solar PV plants and substations. At least 4 years work experience relevant in the energy sector with specific exposure to the renewable energy (solar and/or Wind an/or Battery Storage and/or Transmission Lines). Must have good technical writing skills. Knowledge of FIDIC and other Engineering and Construction contracts. The position will be Site based in Matjiesfontein, Western Cape. Accommodation and meals will be provided. To start as soon as possible Duration: 15 Months (until Last COD)
